Added Bite

by John Doherty | Feb 28, 2022 | in NHS Self-care leaflet

Instead of unrealistic expectations promoted by over elaborate and high cost dental treatments and products why not focus on basic Dental practices and promote them in schools and target early years groups and schools.  Early intervention and education of Health and Dental Care Practices and the benefits learnt at an early age can help mould and instil a dental regime that will serve well as the child matures and enters adulthood.  Government/health Department incentives and price/cost controls could also help disadvantaged families afford proper Dental Care and products.

The ever increasing Cost of Dental Care is a burden placed upon the individual and indeed families which because of the growing demands placed upon the family budget can be restrictive/prohibitive.  Even the most expensive dental products can only provide limited or time constricted benefits so, a supplementary product either in liquid or chewable supplement could offer some respite and much needed protection.  Whilst, there is a product that can be chewed already on the market it lacks the appeal to make it a mainstream option.

Thank you John!

We agree early education is crucial. As we are focusing on how to make education materials, like a leaflet, more appealing, I wonder if you think the current leaflet should be adapted to younger age groups? That way it could potentially support school educational activities.
